Manager Development Program 101

MDP 101 is all about the “people” in people managers. The 5-month journey equips people managers to leverage the power of identities to drive engagement and high performance in everyday work contexts, like one-on-ones, feedback, coaching, performance management and so on. The program is built on Brainayan’s proprietary WhoPoShoRo Model of People Management, which makes the insights from identity and social identity theories of psychology actionable for managers.

Program Details

Duration:  9 Sessions * 2 hours each
Mode: Live Online
Group Size: 15-20
Eligible Audience:  Early to mid-career people managers.
Objective of the Program
Enable people managers to engage their teams and drive high performance.
In each of the 9 workshops, participants learn and practice relevant frameworks and tools, and understand how they can use the opportunity, like a one-on-one or a feedback conversation, to inspire, motivate and engage their people with the power of identities.

Each workshop is highly interactive with case study discussions, group breakout activities, learning partner breakout activities, role plays, as well as multiple micro-activities, like polls, share-in-chat, quizzes and so on. Each workshop is followed by a well-laid out and customizable post-work schedule for on-the-job practice of what has been learned.
The Journey and Key Takeaways
Brainayan's Manager Awesomeness Application (MApp)

MDP 101 begins with managers and their teams building self-awareness through an exploration of their values, strengths, personality orientations, and knowledge and skills. They then verbalize how these show up in their decision-making, relationship building, communication style and collaboration. We call it their Impact Narrative. These Impact Narratives provide managers with valuable insights into what drives their team members and how to inspire and coach them for high performance. Their own Impact Narratives provide managers with insights to intentionally manage their behaviours appropriately for high impact. During the course of MDP 101, the managers will use Impact Narratives to deepen their understanding of how to manage their teams effectively for high performance.
All our workshops are highly interactive. We drive interaction through case study discussions, challenging scenario discussions, other group and learning partner breakout room activities, role plays, polls, jamboard /mural activities and share-in-chat activities. These provide participants with the opportunity to interact, practice and learn not only from the facilitator, but also from each other.
